Hello. I grew up in Philadelphia in the United States. My parents were from the West Indies. In 1973, I joined the SGI-USA in that city and have been practicing Nichiren Buddhism since then. Currently I live in Connecticut with my wife, who is also an SGI member. I work in the field of information technology and software. In terms of formal training, I received a 4-year degree in math and a masters degree in education while I was still in Philadelphia.
Why do you desire to join SGIBuddhism.org? Pls answer fully. DO NOT leave blank
I desire to join this SGI Buddhism group for many reasons: to continue to develop myself through learning from the interactions and information on this site; to stay in touch the current thinking about Buddhism, especially Nichiren Buddhism; to support the spread of the Mystic Law; to assist others in appreciating their lives, all those around them, the power of Nichiren Buddhism, the Soka Gakkai and Daisaku Ikeda.
What are your expectations from joining this site?
My hopes and expectations are as follows: that I can expand my mind of faith, my knowledge of Buddhism and my ability to communicate with others; that a solid and correct understanding of Nichiren Buddhism will spread widely throughout society; that many people will deeply experience the wonder of life through their practice of faith in the SGI; that we all respect, protect and nurture life everywhere.

I found this site on my birthday some time ago. Was very active as were many. Now it has all gone to face book. Was wondering if you and I could have some type of dialogue through this site. I find Noriyo's group To My Friends a mystic way to stay in touch with Daisaku Ikeda. I joined the SGI in 1974.
