Profile Information

About Me (tell us a little bit about yourself):
I was introduced to this practice by Karen Williams (Cleve Ford's daughter) and Susan Damante Shaw (Vinessa Shaw's mom) on Jan.31, 1976.
I practiced 10 years in Santa Monica in Matilda Buck's Chapter and before moving back to San Jose. After 34 years I am so grateful to still be a practicing SGI member and vice district Chief in San Jose, CA.
Through following the example of my Great Teacher, Daisaku Ikeda, and putting his guidance into action with the encouragement of my fellow SGI members, I have been able to overcome the sufferings of Domestic Violence, Depression and Cancer! Now it is my vow to encourage others to do the same. Whoo Hoo --- this practice is GREAT!
At age 60, I am currently in my senior year of college and am determined to break the cycle of "lack of higher education" in my family. I will soon be the first person in my family (on both sides) to get a Bachelors degree.
I am also a member of the SGI ARTS Department. Have been to FNCC twice and am going to the ARTS Dept. conference in March 2010.
