We have bought our Myoho house, where we hold district meetings. I still do some hair but I have left the salon and I have been working as a community support person for a teen that has special considerations.

These past few weeks have so been full of firsts for me. I have been chanting alone now for the last two years. And there have been, of course, stretches of time that I haven't chanted at all.

I started chanting on June 18th of 2007. Looking back it seems surreal that it has been that long, and I have been through so much since then. I have long been interested in "Buddhism" but had really started searching around that time.

My then partner, Jimmy, had recently been… Continue

f*k...he was only 36-37 years old.  I'm turning 50 this year and I feel like I've lived too long.  Two years ago I thought I was seriously going to die myself from health problems I had.  Man!

Hi Jimm,

The Value Of A Smile
by Author Unknown

A smile cost nothing, but gives much.

It enriches those who receive,
without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment,
but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it,
and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home,
fosters good will in business,
and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary,
cheer to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad,
and is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value to anyone
until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours,
as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

The Gohonzon has delivered a present (gift) to you and wish you a happy weekend.
Please open it and find out what it's inside. Please don't forget to say "thank you" to the Gohonzon.

Hey Jimm - thanks so much for all your efforts in Bowling Green! I keep hearing about new members there. My responsibilities as a Zone leader keep me hopping and I hope some time soon to be able to come to BG and support one of your meetings!!
