By the way, everytime their vicious members post something negative on the internet about Pres. Ikeda or the SGI members/leaders and when a sincere member answers back and 'debates' them, when they're LOSING they start whining and complaining that all they want is to be LEFT ALONE.  This is how they believe  aboutthemselves during their temple oko lectures - their priests or their lay leaders make claims that they're ONLY a small sect who wants to protect the purity of the Law.  Remember how they started this:  the priesthood excommunicated Soka Gakkai, they destroyed the Sho-Hondo temple which was built for them by millions of sincere SGI believers, they prevented SGI members from doing temple pilgrimages, they colluded with the vicious tabloid media that attacks Soka Gakkai and pres. Ikeda EVERYDAY in Japan, they say our Gohonzons don't WORK, they encourage their members to attack SGI on the internet.  They always lose in real debates with sincere SGI members, and they still keep publishing malicious lies on the internet for YEARS since internet began.

This gentleman 'wonders' because he simply doesn't understand the issues involved and what the history of it is.  Where is this comment that you read?  Somewhere on our site?

Hi Judy.  WE are not actively harassing the temple nor the priesthood.  Remember, they excommunicated us for their own selfish reasons.  What they have done is distort and alter the teachings of Nichiren and betrayed Nichiren and the teachings of tbe Lotus Sutra.  WE're NOT persecuting them.  We're NOT letting them alone simply because they simply want to be left alone.  WE are doing what Nichiren would do, speaking out whenever they  make false claims that they insist that they are innocent as they alter the teachings of Nichiren through their selfishness on insisting that they ALONE protect the heritage of faith simply because theiir high priest received it DIRECTLY the cause for enlightenment by simply being a high priest. The condemn themsleves each time  they claim our Gohonzons don't work because we don't follow the priesthood and blindly OBEY their every command.  Instead of having honest dialogue and friendly intent, they excommunicated us (even though there's no such things as being 'excommunicated' from one's own buddha nature).  There's a lot of things wrong with the priesthood and every time they deny that their own willful accusations of calling us a cult and that they are simply protecting the heritage of faith by disassociating themselves from us.  They betray Nichiren Daishonin with their willful disrespect for the SGI, Pres. Ikeda, and the members of SGI.  You really have to study this issue.  It's important to ALL of us and for all of mankind.  Read the Untold Story of the Fuji School.  Read the new publication like Inside the Nichiren Shoshu.

Thanks Yuuki for your wonderful comment. I wish I could have been at the conference but my health did not permit it. I am getting much better now and I hope to meet you at the next one. It's great hearing about SGI members in the military. I too have Buddhist on my dog tags. I was very happy and fought to get them. I will continue to support any way I can. I just want you to know that physically I am having a bad day today but you just made my day! :) NMRK!
