Profile Information

About Me (tell us a little bit about yourself):
I joined the SGI-USA and began my practice of Niciren Buddhism when I was 18 years old, 26 years later it is clear that this has proved to be the single most signifigant decision I have ever made. If someone were to tell me my life would be the way it is today as long as I continued to develop my faith and take action I would have never believed them.

I am 44 and live in Corona California with my wife Shelia, daughters Karissa (23), Darian (17), son Sage (11) and grand daughter Keira (2). Nothing means more to me than my family. I am a Chapter leader and Riverside Region Men's Division Secreteriat.

I have worked for the same company for 22 years, have a deep passion for music, there are some examples of my music on this page as well as the links below. I play guitar, keys and sing in a hard rock band - Over The Influence, I also have a slew of music that does not fit in the OTI vein which I call Samadhi. I love working out at the gym, have been sober for 5+ years and am a NHL fanatic (go Ducks !!). But at the end of the day I feel the most appreciation to be able to chant to this Gohonzon and be a part of this Kosen-Rufu movement at this most signifigant time.

A Brief History of Humanity

A

little less than 13,000 years ago, something very dramatic happened in

the history of our planet which is now affecting every aspect of our

life today. Everything we experience in our daily living, including the

particular technologies we use, the wars that happen, and the very way

we perceive our lives, is the direct result of a certain sequence of

events that happened during the end of Atlantean times. Results…

I was thinking about the concept of peace when for some reason Einstein’s famous equation, E=MC2*, popped into my head.

Energy and mass, the equation states, are different forms of the same thing—another validation of what has become nearly indisputable: Everything in the universe is connected to everything else in the universe.

But what had never occurred to me before is another implication of Einstein’s equation: Matter is…

My Mother

I always wondered what today would be like. I remember in 1983 when I had just received my Gohonzon and I was sitting in a diner telling my Mother about this Buddhism. I really had no idea of the depth and weight of this philosophy, I knew nothing about Buddhism. All I knew was that I was on to something, something real. Her smile was genuine as she listened to whatever it was I was saying. She told me "you are having a spiritual experience" and she was so happy for me. One thing I always found… Continue
