RE: EXCHANGE MEETING with WD and YWD members from Indonesia.

Posted on August 27, 2009 at 7:16am 2 Comments

It was an enjoyable and an interesting evening of sharing Sensei's teachings and guidance, and experiences from the Indonesian members.
It's amazing to see how the Indonesian members travelled by vehicles to catch the plane over to my hometown to share what they have learn from Sensei's guidance. I learnt that some of them have met with Ikeda Sensei. It must be awe-inspiring for them.
Their experiences were really moving, and show their ichinen to change their human revolutions.

WHAT AN INTERESTING SGI BUDDHISM SITE!

A big thank you to Bob Mann for inviting me to this wonderful site.

I really enjoy reading the topics/subjects posted on this site. Some are really food for thoughts, too! I hope to contribute when I'm ready! And what's more is that the members are from all over the world who share their experiences including their video clips, photos, etc.
Indeed, such beautiful SGI family here!

Teresa, do visit Jeremy Ang's site. He has posted photos of the new Kaikan in Melbourne. We had a vibrant commemorative meeting this morning, to celebrate men's division day. The youth gave a presentation to thank the 'pillars' of Soka Gakkai - the men members who work in the background to provide a safe and comfortable environment for WD and youth members to do their their activities in. Our talented band played wonderfully as well as sang 'the girl from Ipanema'
cheers,
Nellie

Hi Teresa
I see you have a lovely dog. We have a dog and 2 cats. Our daughter who lives next door has a cat too. Our pets often sneak next door to eat the pet cat's food, and leave puddles of wee as souvenirs. Once there was wee in the empty cat bowl. Although my daughter cleaned the bowl thoroughly, her cat refused to eat from the bowl but would flick food onto the floor to eat. You can imagine the mess made!

Good morning, Teresa.  Thanks, I loved the experiences, both with my flowers and with SGI activities.  I live so far away from people [60 miles to the bigger town], and we have a small little district here in Hot Springs, Montana.  I love it here.  Do you have hot springs where you live?

While working as a Practical nurse, I specialized in Alzheimer's people.  They are actually my favorite population of folks.  If you need to 'talk' some time, just let me know... and feel free to write or email me anytime you need someone to 'talk' to.  I know who hard it is to be a care giver for someone who may or may not know who you are.

I have often asked myself what type of cause creates Alzheimer's type senility.  Maybe slander from a former life time.  I don't know, however since it happens to the mind, the Gosho, "On curing Karmic Disease" pg 631 of The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin says that disease of the eyes, head and back are causes of direct slander to the Lotus Sutra.  HHmmmmm, maybe that is it after all...I used to tell my parrots that when they would only say part of Nam myoho renge kyo.  That they had actually slandered the Lotus Sutra in a previous life time and this life were born to only 'parrot' things people say....

My best regards and utmost respect to you.  You are truly the only person who can help your 'Mum" right now...blessings to you...as you chant she wins...
