MEN ON THE GREAT, EVERLASTING PATH
‘We walk the great, everlasting path of life with confidence and integrity,’ SGI President Ikeda writes to the SGI men. ‘Forging a brilliant realm of indestructible happiness in our hearts and dreams, we advance youthfully, meaningfully and resolutely day after day.’ As long as I possess a lofty philosophy, I can overcome all adversity. A lawyer and a guy are sitting next to each other on a long flight.
So the lawyer asks if the guy would like to play a fun game.
The guy is tired and just wants to take a nap, so he politely declines, and tries to catch a few winks.
The lawyer persists, and says that the game is a lot of fun.
I ask you a question, and if you don't know the answer, you pay me only $5; you ask me one, and if I don't know the answer, I will pay you $500, he says..
This catches the… Continue

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.
Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I… Continue

...So I chant. I do chant twice a day. And I'm pretty "religous" about it. However, I seemed to forget about a the little things when I would chant. You know like getting the dishes done, or ironing my clothes for tomorrow, and being afraid to drive the expressway. I would chant for success with a project at work but never chant to over come my own fear of driving on busy roads. I would chant for my daughter and my sons, which is important but I would forget about me, the mom and not going to… Continue

Well, I have created a problem for myself because I quit SGI for a while and stopped practicing. I'm back to practicing when I can but the problem has not resolved itself. You see, when I let my ex-husband move back in he began his attempts to tell me what I can and cannot do. And instead of continuing to practice and get stronger and happier, I let this man run all over me.
The reason I had quit was because he didn't want to hear the chanting in what he considers his home. Mind you… Continue

Love, the longing for beauty, the thirst for religion, the yearning for truth: these are all eminently human energies, and through the expression and manifestation of these energies great changes are brought about in the human environment.
(Daisaku Ikeda, contemporary thinker)
Green, lean, alive, and creating wholeness. CFLs, carbon credits, LCD monitors, timed devices. This would sum up the traditional paradigm of the man-environment matrix. Translate it to… Continue

Owing to your pray and activities, we could win the election campaign support for Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly! All 23 candidates of New Komeito managed to win under the adversity. The coalition party, LDP lost a lot as expected. I personally think it is a quite natural result. The Cabinet decided to dissolve the House of Representatives and the general election will be done on August 30, 2009! We will have hot and tough summer!
