Hi dears SGI friends.
Here is one post written by Leo Babauta.
Let’s face it: most of us fail when it comes to sticking to resolutions — so much so that many people swear never to make resolutions again.
And yet the rest of us are eternally hopeful when the New Year comes around, believing without any credible evidence that we can improve our lives, that change is possible, that we’re not going to be stuck in the same… Continue

I dreamt last night that I had a big blue ball, you know like those large exercize balls that people use. In the dream or shall I say nightmare, someone was trying to steal my ball.It was so upsetting, really horrible, that someone was trying to take away my ball.I can’t even discribe what a nightmarish quality this dream had for me.It felt like they were stealing my life force, my blood, my breath. The sensation was of a quality that I had to… Continue

a lot of my thoughts, actions and words are byproduct of my inner rage and anger spawned from past and current circumstances.
a lot of it are also spawned from jealousy, envy and many other undesirable traits.
i NEED to chant badly to control my rage and anger to keep my sanity.

I have traveled the country wide for many years. As a peasant, searching for my inner being. As a healer, helping others find their inner strengths.. Living, to the best of my ability, as a Buddha would. Ah, todays times have changed... interconnectivity through techtronics... widening the circle of change, yet adding centricity.. New laws are made, man laws; and yet there is only one...
My challenges have been many, mostly challenging that darkness within me.. Life, I have learned,… Continue

(The Treasure of a Child - The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, Vol.2, page 884) Selection source: "Kyo no Hosshin", Seikyo Shimbun, Dec. 28th, 2009
So funny...this weekend I have been congested with emotion and thoughts about my desire to adopt....my mother is having problems and I am faced with the reality that she is truly getting older and needs our help, and that is frightening enough as it… Continue

Continue

Two more days until I receive my Gohonzon, this Tuesday at 7 p.m., December 29th, 2009. I forget what the occasion is; originally I would be receiving it on January 1st at the New Year's Gongyo, but I work during that time. :( So I think this Tuesday is a discussion meeting based on... something to do with Sado and letters. My memory is so terrible, honestly. With all the meetings that I get invited to I'm left with a spinning head overflowing with information!
I've been sincerely… Continue

when my thoughts and deeds are rid of ALL negativity and they are in parallel (or align) with the universe, the universe will manifest my desires.
chanting helps me manifest my inner buddha wisdom which is essential in the choice of action i take.

I would like to share the following with you all.
My mother is 86, living in Germany and recently has had to move into an old people's home in Germany. It has been a big transition especially losing her independence. We have spent many years apart, however when my father died 9 years ago, she started to chant. Not a vast amount of daimoku but the bond and connection between us greatly deepened. I made a vow to her no matter what, we would always stay friends.
Since being in the home… Continue

Dear fellow Buddhists and friends,
The universe wears a constant smile because of your hearts. You have brought truth, safety, and love to so many, and continue to do so.There is no greater service than that which you all provide on a daily basis. You are all, truely, the brightest stars in the heavens!!
You have all lit a lamp to guide my way.
I stand in awe of who you are!!!
