11th of July Young Men's Division Day

11 July 2010 is Soka Gakkai Young Men's Division Day

2nd President Soka Gakkai Mr Josei Toda established the Young Men's Division on July 11, 1951. Braving rain , some 180 young men gathered at the old Soka Gakkai Headquarter in Tokyo Nishi-Kanda . 3rd President Soka Gakkai Mr Daisaku Ikeda at that time a Young Men Division group leader attended the meeting.

At that meeting Mr Toda explained the mission
President Toda said:-

" Kosen-rufu is the mission that I absolutely must accomplish. My young friends in the youth division, I hope that each of you will come to clearly realise your honoured position...........
It is always young people who move the times and create a new era. My sole wish is that you will unfailing accomplish this great and noble mission( of kosen-fu) "

After clarifying that kosen-rufu is the mission of the youth division, he went on to talk about the WESTWARD TRANSMISSION OF BUDDHISM.

At the meeting, President Toda also said :-

" The next president of Soka Gakkai is certain to come from among those of you assembled here today. I am absolutely convinced that he is here with us now. I wish to congratulate that person, bowing to him with my deepest respect and veneration.....

I would like to take this opportunity to offer my best wishes to the person who will become the next president of the Soka Gakkai, and also to extend my wholehearted congratulation to you all the formation of the Young Men's Division "

Hi Roger,
The establishment day of YMD was July 11, 1951 and not July 11, 2010.
Correct me if I am wrong with the date.
