YES Even a Single Daimoku Suffice that is even a single daimoku is enough

Why?…..How?

Firstly Why is it that even a single daimoku is enough?

President Ikeda says

“THE Mystic Law is the source that enables one to liberate his individuality and leads to the flowering of one’s life. In the Gosho, Nichiren Daishonin stated, “The character myo means to open.” In another Gosho, he explained, “To open is another name for faith.” On one level, we can say that faith in the Mystic Law is fundamental to opening one’s life without limitation and freely expressing oneself.”

What is Faith?

Faith on what?

Faith on the fact that each of the beings even inanimate objects has this THING in the object the inherent eternal thing of the Universe is the manifestation of the Law of Myoho Renge Kyo and the chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo activates/opens it.

Have you seen the movie “All is well”. The movie teaches that our inner world inner being only listens to our command and if we command it always with the command All is well then all will be actually be well everytime.

So have to just communicate our wish to our inner being and the rest that object(as i dont know what it is) takes care. So we have to communicate or “open” a channel. This can be done by chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo only looking after to the fact that our wish is communicated to our subconscious.

So Even a Single Daimoku Suffice Even a Single Daimoku can Suffice Even a Single Daimoku Will Suffice

depending on the fact that the wish is communicated to our subconscious at the time of reciting of the wonderful phrase of Nam Myoho Renge kyo just that single DAIMOKU. actually your state of mind with all that is going on in your mind is communicated. The communication is very easy if toxins of greed(want to devour the Universe all pleasures(sensual pleasures etc) of the Universe all things of pleasure in the Universe, all the financial power, all the power of being the greatest leader within the Gakkai etc. that Gakkai district can be any district please dont take it personally ), anger(arises when we see our name our being falling in the eyes of others then one forgets that the inherent Buddha nature is always there and all that is needed is to activate it by chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo and thinking that I am that Bodhisattva who had vowed in front of Shakyamuni to spread the law in the Latter day – how to spread by kosenrufu that is spreading happiness all in the environment)

Here the story of Surihandoku is very relevant.

He said

I sweep off the dust. I remove the dirt

He used to polish the footwear of priests’ but had later went on to win the position of arhat

Even though it may have been humiliating to clean many priests’
footwear every day, Surihandoku was very obedient, and did not
hate to clean. He strived to practice as he recited, “I sweep off the
dust. I remove the dirt.”

Then Surihandoku’s sins from his past life were gradually eradicated,
and one day he attained enlightenment.

The “dust” or “dirt” is not
simply the dust or dirt on footwear; it is the dust or dirt in the
human mind. Then what is the dust or dirt in the human mind? They
are three poisons of greed, anger and stupidity. Greed is the mind of
devouring, selfishness and desire. Anger is the mind of rage, and
stupidity is the mind of foolishness and egotism.

Surihandoku
became enlightened to the fact that the important thing is to sweep
off and remove these three kinds of dust and dirt. Surihandoku
immediately went to Shakyamuni and reported this to him.
Upon hearing this, Shakyamuni was so very happy that he finally
permitted Surihandoku the state of arhat.

I would like to put stress on the fact that as the Hoben – The Expedient Means chapter stresses

THE STATE OF THE MIND/ANTAKARAN IS REFLECTED IN MY BODY AND MY ENVIRONMENT.

So the state of the mind should be cheerful every time (so why this mind of suffering) as if you are chanting with conviction then protection will always will be there rest assured and the seed you plant will surely bear fruit.

This is important as the single Daimoku when recited should be with total mindfulness and conviction.

I want to end with The Daishonin’s great great words:

Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo no matter what happens. How could there be anything other than the boundless joy of the Law?

Last word for Mother’s Day:

All mothers simply chant vibrant Daimoku for your offspring and that is enough. Protection will be there wherever in this blue planet is your child(small child or BIG CHILD).
