Well I don't know if I'm "interested in Japan," but since I'm stuck here now, I might as well make the best of it. I can see Sado Island from my work on most clear days and it reminds me of clear days in California when I can see Catalina Island.

morigasaki beach song. Does anyone know if there are actually words to this song? I only hear music. I would love to see where I can find a download of the music and have the words in japanese and the translation in english. thank you.

I have studied English at school for 8 years in Japan. It made me interested in learning English fortunately, but after 8 years, I couldn't speak any words I learned. I could read and write but didn't make it useful. The grammar always bothered me to speak. (some professionals say this is how the brain works for language skills)
I think everyone knows what is the best for learning language, and my English is not excellent yet, but I really recommend to stay in fun way.....for me, western music and movies are great fun in life, I enjoy them much and took many words and expressions from them, I sill do.
Also, I took TOEIC test the other day and it encouraged me much. There's the same kind of one for Japanese. I find taking tests tells me how to learn or study it in the future.

I am part of Los Angeles- Nagoya Sister Cities and have taken students to Japan.
My son speaks Japanese and is on his way to holiday in Tokyo and Hemeji. He studied at ICU in Tokyo and hung out with girl bands. He is a systems analyst.

Both my sons (ages 29 and 24 are not Buddhist. I started chanting when they were young. The younger one is in a MA program in music composition. Please chant for their happiness.

I can read a bit of hiragana and belong to a Japanese global group where people exchange language practice.
Kyoto is one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
