In Memoriam: One of our long-time pioneer members has gone ahead to blaze the path again. Please send daimoku or you may leave a comment on Mrs. Elizabeth Clark's page. She recently passed away and apparently had a victorious memorial ceremony held for her by the members of the Netherlands.

Stay safe dont move to a crazy part of town where there are alot of drug activity and gang volence. I hate to say this but in the few years I have been alive my country has become very violent. Back in the 1990s I lived in a place where gunshots went off every night. Actually 2 people were murderd across the street. If you dont have any money in this country you are in serious trouble. I am struggeling as hard as I can to I can get better MONEY karma. :)

Hi!! I am Dhruv from New Delhi, India. I am fortunate to be in this faith and strongly believe that guidance of Sensei has changed my life 180 degrees.
India is the land of the origin of Buddha and being a secular country we follow all religions/philosophies of the world without any hindrances. Basically, a Hindu majority country, people are liberal about others too.
Superstitions. black magic etc. are also in vogue and the philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism is the only philosophy which can change the fortune of the people.

Hello, SGI-friends around the world!

I am Zalde Gallardo, an SGI-Philippine Men's Div member. I live in the suburb of the capital city of the Philippines, Manila, together with my wife & 2 kids, and I'm a practicing member for 31 years. I started chanting and doing SGI activities when I was 11 y.o.

I am glad that there is a site like this cause I'm very interested to know and learn from other SGI-Buddhists in other countries.

Thanks a lot!

Thanks Gary for coming on board! How exciting and what a wonderful opportunity to learn another language and culture! I am always intrigued by other cultures and way of life.... the world is always a classroom.

I think we often forget that we "choose" to see things as obstacles instead of opportunities. That is human nature. Why be in that "state of being?" If one is in the "NOW," which is all that we really know as yesterday is gone and tomorrow has not yet arrived, we have the opportunity to create or shape our future the way in which we want it. It takes "conscious" effort to be in that state of being of "NOW."

Cheers, Nadine

Hi to all, I am a UK member living in Montpellier, France. I have the good fortune to be within driving distance of Trets and I am slowly getting to know French SGI Buddhists and struggling with the language and strengthening my practice. I feel grateful that I have met this practice and burnt off quite a bit of negative karma, still lots to do but enjoying the 'ride'. I feel so at home here and people, including Buddhists are generally courteous and friendly. Merci à tous.
