Alby, we miss you. You were taken by cancer at far too young and age.

Hi Alby,

The Value Of A Smile
by Author Unknown

A smile cost nothing, but gives much.

It enriches those who receive,
without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment,
but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it,
and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home,
fosters good will in business,
and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary,
cheer to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad,
and is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value to anyone
until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours,
as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

Alby, how wonderful to hear from you! Your timing is amazing. I was talking with my brother in Minneapolis recently and got to thinking about you and was wondering what you are doing now. Myoho, eh?
I saw Robin and Sandy recently. They are both doing really well and are as energetic as ever (in a middle aged sort of way). Go Women's Division!
I'll send you a personal note soon. Please take care, my friend! XOX

mr. alby,

i am really going out of bounds and challenging myself to learn computers. So i have no clue how this site works and how you do it! I just saw your email and was so excited to hear from you! does everyone see what i write to you?
I just miss you!!! I miss the SGI in Minnesota. Big time! The organization there is amazing. I always knew that, but now i really know it! I love the sunshine and mountains in california. I love that i can be hiking in the mountains five minutes after leaving work. They are so close. And i really miss family and friends. It's really lonely out here. I never knew what being lonely meant. Now i know!!! Feeling so connected to Sensei sustains me.
Call me! I want to know how your doing and how that fabulous sweetheart of yours is doing. I adore him! I think you guys should come back and visit Palm Springs. Say yes!

hugs,
kp

Hey Alby,

I'm glad we're SGI site friends as well as district buddies. Welcome! Isn't this a great site? If I had a photo as cute as yours I'd add one too.
