A Happy New Year 2012.ppt
I really appreciated seeing the posting of the two quotes below, by Daisaku Ikeda. I especially love the line "The hope that has not been proven, is nothing more than a fragile dream".
Very recently I learned that I was holding back from applying for a loan, partly because as long as I didn't act on it, I could hold on to the hope that I would possibly be accepted.
But, if I sent in the application and got rejected, then I could no longer hold on to that hope. Obviously, I was manifesting no courage and needed to change that a.s.a.p., which I have done. :-)
Stay happy and healthy,
Eddie
I call upon you fight for your dreams. Facing the challenge.
What do you fear? "Ridicule? "When you change? to the new?
Not fear immobilize you.
We encourage you to leave your comfortable discomfort.
Is anything better than this state of quiet desperation.
Imagine you want to be. Draw a plan. Give date. It sets targets and milestones, Sing daimoku.
Do not forget that success is for those who struggle, minute by minute, day by day, year after year. No one must be very intelligent.
Search, investigate and get to work. And never forget that a dream without action is illusory.
Daisaku Ikeda.
------------------
"There may be times when, faced with the cruel reality, we are on the verge of losing all hope. If we can not feel hopeful, it is time to create some. We can do this by digging deeper into our interior, looking for even the smallest and flickering light on the possibility of a way to start to cross the deadlock that we have before us. And our capacity for hope really can be expanded and strengthened by the difficult circumstances. The hope has not been proven, is nothing more than a fragile dream. Hope starts from this challenge, this effort to work toward an ideal, however distant it may seem. "
Daisaku Ikeda
