Hi there-- obviously I am not active on this site and, not being a facebook user either, don;t really understand how this works. But I got an email notice from someone here and decided to take a look and respond to your comment of long ago!

I am a real person, a WD in Maine, have been practicing every day for 33 years.

Nice photo Gordon!

Good to see you wore a pith helmet in brass band too. I think we were together wearing that uniform.

I started a new group for English Speaking members in Inaka areas of Japan. I tried to send out invitations to it twice, but the computer just kept thinking. I would like to someday create some exchange meetings with different inaka areas or a conference like the TIG and KIG have once a year, but on Sado Island for the people that don't live in Tokyo or Kansai. If you know any members way out in no where Japan, let me know.

I went to visit dad tonight and I was asking if he remembered you, but I didn't know your last name for sure. I'll let him know that you remember him.

Right! I thought he looked familiar when I went to his profile! Thanks for jogging my memory!

I don't remember your sister. I might if I saw her. Takahiro doesn't sound familiar either. I know Barry would know. I need to tell him about this site. I'm still exploring it myself. My dad lives here in Iowa. He lived with me for awhile but now he's in a nursing home as he has demintia and is wheel chair bound and I'm his primary care giver. Suzie passed away in 2002. Barry also lives in Iowa, a couple of hours away from me.

Gordon, I just now joined this site and was looking around to see who I might know. I don't know you, but you might know my dad and my late step-mother and maybe even my brother. My dad is Tom Yamagata and he was married to Suzie and my brother is Barry. I live in Iowa but visited San Jose several times and met many members. You almost look familiar to me.
