- I teach comparative religion at a public university, and research new religious movements.

- I am researching the experience of African-American members of Soka Gakkai. I will deliver a paper this summer at the International Society for Science and Religion meeting in Taipei, Taiwan, as part of a panel on Soka Gakkai.
- What are your expectations from joining this site?
- I am hoping to learn about the diverse perspectives of people who have participated in Soka Gakkai. I respect this is a private site, and I do not plan to quote people unless they explicitly agreed their comments could be used. But even if I did not write about members' points of view, I would like to know more about the broad spectrum of perspectives, to be able to write accurately and fairly.
