Well, I have created a problem for myself because I quit SGI for a while and stopped practicing. I'm back to practicing when I can but the problem has not resolved itself. You see, when I let my ex-husband move back in he began his attempts to tell me what I can and cannot do. And instead of continuing to practice and get stronger and happier, I let this man run all over me.

The reason I had quit was because he didn't want to hear the chanting in what he considers his home. Mind you… Continue

Update

I have to admit I have been quite lacking in the recitation of Gongyo for the past couple of months. I still chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo as often as I can. I know I should have been doing gongyo but since the many deaths in my family recently and dealing with the depression that comes with it along with the stress of the remaining family members and their greed I just have not had the energy or will power to get up off my butt and do gongyo.

I have noticed that I don't feel as happy as… Continue

10 Hour Toso planned for tomorrow

With all that I've been through over the last couple of months and the depression I have been sinking into, I think that its best that I do another 10 hour toso.

The End of an Era

Posted on February 25, 2008 at 12:30am 2 Comments

The past three weeks have been very hard on me. As many of you know, my aunt and sister died just a day apart from each other. This evening I find out that my brother and my uncle died. I am now the last survivor of my immediate family and only have one uncle left alive.

Good thing I have a Woman's Divison Leader coming for a home visit tomorrow because I urgently need council and encouragement. I wonder how much Daimouku I am going to need for this....

Another Toso

I don't know what it is lately but I seem to be doing Toso like crazy. I started a toso this morning around 5 am and just finished it about 15 minutes ago....its now 7:15 pm.

Hello Jeanne wow you have done alot of shakubuku. In my 36 years (born into SGI) of practice I haven't got any shakubukus. Now in Japan and this year I became a gajokai in training. In gajokai training we have to do at least 1 shakubuku and find a friend that is not a member to take the Seikyo newspaper. And read the Human Revolution to understand the Master and Disciple spirit. Please give me some good pointers for shakubuku and how is a nice approach. O.K. let me look around your site and I will ask questions later. Just ahead too fast.

Hi Jeanne,
You seem to have a special mission, you're chanting the daimoku, and doing shakubuku, so use all of your experiences for your writing, maybe you're the 21 century Anne Rice!? A lotus flower develops best in a muddy swamp. Take care.
