About Me (tell us a little bit about yourself):: I received my Gohonzon and had the installation ceremony one month ago. I am a member of the SGI Kearsarge District (NH), I recently had a chance to visit the SGI Center in Denver, CO, and chant at morning Gongyo. Or listen, since my Gongyo chanting is not speedy enough to keep up with these SGI'ers! Daimoku is not a problem though.

My life has been so greatly enhanced by my practice, even in this short time. As I said at a district meeting "I am happy even when I don't want to be!" hahaha. Yes, the cosmic joke is very funny, so glad I get it. Love and happiness to you all.

PS.This picture is of my running shoes. I don't have a profile pic at the ready; my mom shot this at the 5k Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving. I don't mean to be inadvertently promoting my shoes, but I do LOVE them. They are made by Vibram. Next best thing to bare feet, sometimes even better! People do rock climb in them. They are good for everything.

Gonnyo has been my pet peeve for 41 years now. Practice individual words and phrases as you are walking, bycycling etc. It's was a wonderful exercise in phonetic pronunciations for me for decades really. These days I am pretty proficient. Even after 41 years the Jigage chapter sometimes is difficult to do in harmony with every-one else for me. ( Sho itsu jaku go yoku da o akudo chu. ga jo chi shujo) is a real tongue twister going fast. That's O'k I know how to pronounce it properly going at my own speeed, and most of the gongyo's through-out your life are goung to be in your ownd place of residence. Read many times the reason we could meet the Gohonzon in this life is because of having served the buddhas in the past. So in essence you did find Nichiren Buddhism long long ago.
