About Me (tell us a little bit about yourself):
I have been a practicing member for 28 years. I was 22 years old when i Joined and am now 49. I'm a Gay Male. I am also a Singer/Songwriter/Performer/Producer who goes by the name AMALA name after the 9th Consciousness or our Pure Conscious or Buddhahood..

Shakabuku to me is of great importance, because it is through our Sharing of and Teaching what the SGI and our Practice is and about that we reach more people in our world to continue to Propagate the Law of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. I live in Seattle Washington. I make Shakabuku a daily practice for me (and as my best friend and fellow member says about me and Shakabuku "Randy you are never happier than you are when you are doing Shakabuku" and this is an absolute truth. I do Shakabuku in every form I can come up with and for the last 4-5 years I have been using the internet as an INCREDIBLE TOOL to do this because we are able now to REACH ALL OVER THE WORLD IN A SINGLE MOMENT BECAUSE OF IT (the internet). So I invite us all to Use the Internet for the Propagation of the MYSTIC LAW as this site is a big part of. Here we are reaching out to each other in a Social Buddhist network. So if we have this great network of members because of the internet, just imagine how many people we can plant the seed of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo in through The CONNECTIONS we can make from afar and Propagate the MYSTIC LAW to people that could never hear of it if not for this amazing tool we have. That this GREAT SITE is a part of. Just imagine the amount of people we can reach through the VASTNESS of the INTERNET UNIVERSE.

Because of my practice i have Lived and continue to live with Hiv/Aids and have now for 24 years. I have Heart Disease and A Spinal Disorder but Refuse to let these Obstacles keep me from my practice. I have also overcome Cancer and lost my eyesight in my left eye do to an Aids related Disease however I defeated it as well and can now see 20/20 with my glasses on through my left after after being completely blind and told I would never see again.

I was told 24 years ago January 21st i would not live to see my 27th birthday. Then after living 5 more years told I would not see my 40th Birthday. I am now 49 years old a Mens Division member and have more peace within my life NOW than I could ever have imagined 25 years ago.

Every day I am greatfull for this amazing practice and what it has given me and continues to show me everyday of my life.

We can now through the internet bring about a new wave of Kosen Rufu and I am very greatfull to be a part of this site and to share ideas and continue to propagate the law.

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo,

Why do you desire to join SGIBuddhism.org? Pls answer fully. DO NOT leave blank
I have been a member of SGIBuddhism for years now. But I use the internet a lot due to my disability which allows me to participate in activities around the Globe not only within my distric or area
What are your expectations from joining this site?
To meet members from around the world and enhance my practice as well as to reach out to those who may not be able to get to meetings due to Physical Conditions and or Advanced aged who still are able and want to participate.

Hi Randy,

The Value Of A Smile
by Author Unknown

A smile cost nothing, but gives much.

It enriches those who receive,
without making poorer those who give.
It takes but a moment,
but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.

None is so rich or mighty that he can get along without it,
and none is so poor but that he can be made rich by it.

A smile creates happiness in the home,
fosters good will in business,
and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary,
cheer to the discouraged,
sunshine to the sad,
and is nature's best antidote for trouble.

Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen,
for it is something that is of no value to anyone
until it is given away.

Some people are too tired to give you a smile.
Give them one of yours,
as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.
