I have been practicing this life transforming philosophy since 2005. I'm from India & before coming to the UK lived most of my life in New Delhi. Before being formally introduced, I actually knew about Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism through a book titled "The Buddha in Daily Life" which was gifted to my Mom. But neither me nor my mom, knew how to join the SGI. The environment responded to my mother's strong seeking spirit. I was introduced to the practice under very mystical circumstances by a long lost school friend.
One of the highlights of my practice so far has been to make a pilgrimage of sorts to Holy Eagle Peak which is located in a place called Rajgir, in the state of Bihar. I went with my mother, who also is a very strong practitioner & we climbed up to the top & came back down by foot as well. It was the most awe inspiring feeling to Gongyo & Chant Daimoku sitting three feet away from the place Shakyamuni himself sat some 2500 years ago while expounding the Lotus Sutra.
Currently I have been given the great privilege to work as the District Chief of the Young Men's Division, in the Heart of Leeds. Besides that I'm also a proud member of the Dedicated Soka Group (2010-2012) in SGI-UK.
