Starting a local 12-Steps of Liberation Group locally...

Posted on June 28, 2010 at 12:00am 0 Comments

In the near future I intend to start a Recovery Group locally based on the 12-Steps of Liberation. This will be a decidedly Buddhist Recovery Group independent from A.A. or any other established Recovery

Group. As other 12-Step Groups though, all Buddhists in recovery or

those that are interested in Buddhism will be welcome. The group

meetings will not be strictly for SGI or Nichirin Buddhist, but all

Buddhists in general.

The 12-Steps of Liberation Group.

Posted on June 26, 2010 at 1:00pm 3 Comments

Today I started a group here. It is called, The 12-Steps of Liberation. It is a group that utilizes a unique 12-Steps based on the Four Noble Truths and the Eight Fold Path combined to form a decidedly Buddhist set of 12-Steps of Recovery. The group is a private group to assure confidentiality, but any SGI Members in Recovery can ask to be a member of the group. Membership is not restricted to one type of addiction or another and also welcomes people with dysfunctional and self-destructive…

Grateful to have been incarned human and to have heard the Mystic Law

When I was in 3rd grade we had a babysitter who was a college professor,

he also taught meditation and stuff at the Self-Realization Fellowship

in Los Angeles. I learned to meditate from one of his youth classes at

the Lake Shrine Temple. The first time I ever meditated it was a

profound deep spiritual experience. It was like my body cesed to be my

mind was stilled and centered and I experienced a complete state of

Nirvana. Later in life I got away from meditation… Continue

Good Fortune and an Attitude of Gratitude

Posted on June 5, 2010 at 10:16am 0 Comments

This morning I have been sitting and reflecting upon my blessings and good fortune. I have so much to be grateful for. I feel that a time of meditation and contemplation on the good things in one's life is an important essential. An "Attitude of Grattitude" is a characteristic we should strive to live out in our lives everyday. As Sensei Ikeda says, that true happiness does not mean that ones life will not be free from suffering and turmoil, but true happiness is to not be moved by these…

The important thing is that you're back and you continued practicing while you was gone. I've gotten off track from practicing before and what a difference our practice makes in our lives. At least you had your practice in the right order. :) I hope that you and your family are doing well. How's your health coming along, are you feeling OK?...There's this herbal medicine, that you might want to look into - Essiac - google it - ask for a doctors advise. I've seen amazing things happen with this herbal medicine.

It's good to see your sunshine face on my page again.
Take care friend
