I've been practicing Nichiren Buddhism since November 24, 1987, although I received my Gohonzon in 1986 on Nichiren's birthday--February 16. I'm an SGI-USA district women's leader.

For almost 40 years, I've struggled with depression and a nagging feeling that something was “wrong” with me.

I originally wrote this in response to someone who felt it was wrong to consider President Ikeda to be Bodhisattva Superior Practices. He was upset with the way certain SGI-USA leaders had responded to him and had decided to join Nichiren Shoshu, feeling that President Ikeda had led him astray.

Parent Experience--Finding Best High School for My Daughter
