I'm looking to connect with buddhists in San Diego. Gay friendly a plus! I put my brother in touch with the organization there and they immediately got him to buy a gohonzon at his second encounter with the org. I thought this was highly irregular. Worse it's been at least 6 months and it has yet to be enshrined! It's sitting in a little box on a book shelf. My brother is open to the concept. But he hasn't had the support.
I've lived in Oakland, Davis, and now Sacramento and there were always people to point me to meetings, encourage me etc.
What's up with San Diego?

Welcome to the group, Roberta! Here is a link to an article in Tricycle Magazine where they interviewed Marianne. Maybe it is one that you are looking for: It is located on the Soka Gakkai SGI board at Multiplyhttp://sokagakkaisgi.multiply.com/journal/item/289/MARIANE_PEARL_IN_TRICYCLE
Best always....
