At first one may seem to have faith in the Lotus Sutra, but it is hard to maintain that faith to the last. Water for example may be stirred by the wind, or blossoms may lose their hue with the fading of the morning dew. How then have you been able to persist in your faith up until today? The Gohonzon exists within us. The supremely noble life-state of Buddhahood shines nowhere but in our own lives as people dedicated to the cause of kosen-rufu. Consequently, no matter what happens, as long as we maintain strong faith, we will be fine. There is nothing to worry about. Nothing is more precious than the individual human beings who uphold and practice the Mystic Law.
