The Unsurpassed Good Fortune and Benefit of Faith Continue
Soka Gakkai 2nd president Josei Toda used to say quite matter of factly: We deliberately chose to be born poor and sick so that we could spread the Mystic Law through demonstrating the transformative power of faith to others.
Our current circumstances are like a role that we have taken on this lifetime in order to fulfill our mission in accord with our eternal vow to lead others to happiness.
Since we have…

When one carries out the single practice of exercising faith in MyoHo-Renge-Kyo, there are no blessings that fail to come to one, and no good karma that does not begin to work on one's behalf.

At first one may seem to have faith in the Lotus Sutra, but it is hard to maintain that faith to the last. Water for example may be stirred by the wind, or blossoms may lose their hue with the fading of the morning dew. How then have you been able to persist in your faith up until today? It must be thanks entirely to the blessings you have acquired in previous existences, and to the care bestowed on you by Shakyamuni Buddha. How heartening is that thought, how heartening indeed!

Exert Yourself in the Two Ways of Practice and Study
The writings of Nichiren Daishonin are teachings of hope. When we study these writings and chant Nam MyoHo Renge Kyo, our lives come to shine all the more brightly and overflow with courage, the wisdom of the Mystic Law and the power of the Buddha.
The Daishonin encourages us to talk to others about Buddhism. Let us vibrantly reach out to others in dialogue. The more we talk to others about our practice, the more people… Continue

A Buddha is One Who Continue to Strive
A Buddha is a person who continues to strive in the real world based on the Mystic Law, guided by the belief that their own life and the lives of others are infinitely valuable and respect worthy.
What distinguishes a Buddha from an Unenlightened person is the unshakeable conviction that our inner potential is as vast as the universe itself. When we awaken to this truth, we will not be defeated by even the most challenging environment… Continue

The Gohonzon Exists Within Us
The Gohonzon exists within us. The supremely noble life-state of Buddhahood shines nowhere but in our own lives as people dedicated to the cause of kosen-rufu. Consequently, no matter what happens, as long as we maintain strong faith, we will be fine. There is nothing to worry about. Nothing is more precious than the individual human beings who uphold and practice the Mystic Law.
