"In my small way, I have tried to do what I could, by engaging in dialogue…

The 90-Day All Japan, Motorcycle/Music Tour is coming to take me away!!

I haven't found a job yet, and my 5-year JET (Japan Exchange Teaching) contract ends today. But luckily I found out that I qualify for 90 days unemployment insurance and I found two new roommates to move into my house this next month.

On top of that I was chanting for someone to watch my cats, and on Tuesday I went to an interview for my current job, and there was a girl interviewing, who just arrived in Japan that day, with no where to stay and she agreed to stay at my house…

Looking for a reliable, dependable, reasonably priced ghostwriter...

My Fellow Buddhists,

I have a story to tell...a story about my health, my determination to maintain that health, all the while, using my Buddhist practice/faith, to do just that.

I also need help in telling this story. I want to write/publish my story, so that I can educate/enlighten others about surviving Carcinoid cancer and to learn about Buddhism.

This is where you come into the picture... I am looking for a very reliable, extremely dependable and reasonably…

getting out of recession

Present Japan is similar to the society of Kamakura era. Kamakura is located in a part of Kanagawa prefecture. At present, in Kanagawa, the unenployment rate is the worst in Kanto region. Manufacturing companies are the most important industry in the policy of Kanagawa.

One president of car manufacturing company (famous in the world) fired a great many workers. And subcontractor's factories have been suffered, and fired many workers. SG members are one of them. So unemployment…

True dialogue is only possible when both parties are committed to self-mastery. But there is another essential element without which dialogue becomes manipulative rhetoric, namely, a respectful compassion for others --- no matter how culturally different they are from oneself or seemingly opposed to one's interests. The Buddhist approach can, I believe, loosen the shackles of abstract concepts and language that can be so destructive. Thus freed, we…

“He makes me so angry!” “My boss makes me so mad!” “My kids are driving me nuts!”

How often have you heard, or even said, statements like these? Our language reflects our underlying beliefs and thoughts. In our culture, we tend to project blame onto others. In this case, they are the reason we feel angry or frustrated.

The difficulty with this perspective is that in order for our anger to change, the other

person who is… Continue

Rock the Era photoslide show, July 10 2010 (Central Territory)

Just some of my personal photos I was able to take at UIC Pavillion in Chicago of the Rock the Era festival held on July 10, 2010. My main mission when I was there was to support the zone youth reps who took pictures of the festival for World Tribune. I got what I could with what limited angles & time I could make but should give you a brief glimpse. The atmosphere was unbelievable and the performances were pretty much breathtaking with sooo many youths participating in the festival on…

Most of the statesmen of Komei party have been elected

In Japan, 11 July was the election day of the House of Representatives (up to 8:00pm at Japanese standard time).

3:00pm, Today (12 July), all the results of the vote count was announced.

Most of the statesmen of Komei party have won! (Unfortunately 2 persons were failed)

In Japan, we write the name of party or candidate on the voting paper (very small paper). So we should know the candidates in advance on the TV or speech. After voting was ended, we had…

Buddha Nature and the Human Being

Buddha nature
(Skt buddha-dhatu or buddha-gotra; Jpn bussho )

The internal cause or potential for attaining Buddhahood. The Sanskrit word dhatu means root, base, foundation, ground, or cause, and gotra means family, lineage, basis, source, cause, or seed. Mahayana Buddhism generally holds that all people possess the innate Buddha nature, though its existence is obscured by…

If you love animals- please sign these petitions

I just added some links to mypage from the WSPA which is an organization that works for Animal Protection around the world. They sent me a link about dogs and how they are raised for meat. This absolutely horrified me and all I keep thinking is how can we stop this? How can we help these poor defenseless animals? I believe that dogs are here to…
