There were many times during the later years of my mother's life I was able to chant abundant daimoku for her health. She enjoyed life and rarely complained. She raised 8 children and never worked outside the home. She was the heart of the family. All of her children loved her dearly.

Last night, I had a luck to be invited to a meeting held at Soka International Women's Center in Shinanomachi. In the end of the meeting for Young working women, Mis. Sugimoto, the most leader of women's group in Japan, told us the lyrics of the one of most famous gakkaika 'Mother (Haha)' was made by Sensei on the exact the same date of 40 years ago in her speech.
