Striving With the Same Spirit as Our Mentor
Our minds can be all too easily influenced and swayed by our environment. In striving to master our mind, therefore it becomes important to seek out and follow the example of a teacher or mentor who can guide us in the correct direction.
When we of Soka strive for kosen-rufu with the same spirit as our mentor in the realm of Buddhism, we can establish an unshakable mountain of faith in our hearts. This is our pride as champions… Continue

I've made a determination in front of my gohonzon that I'm going to finally end my 12-plus years in self-imposed exile on the backside of Japan, near Sado Island (I can see Sado Island on clear days and it reminds me of my younger days living in Huntington Beach, California, looking at Catalina Island) and come back to the US, to fight for kosen rufu with my bodhisattva SGI-USA friends.… Continue

I haven't had a chance to check in lately. My husband is in the hospital, fighting for his life And the hospital is not near by. So it is time consuming for me. I am strong and hanging on. Some days by threads, only. I can't believe some people say the most hurtful comments to me, at this time. People I have known for a long time. And they should know better. They don't chant but still should have respect. And then they don't understand why I am upset. When people are going… Continue

As a matter of fact, I have been going to hospital to get treatment for diabetes. Meanwhile, I have been chanting daimoku more than 2 hours per day. Recently, my daimoku reached 20 million this month. Then, I went to hospital for frequently check-up. My doctor has just sentenced me that it is unnecessary for me to take medicine of diabetes anymore. I recovered from diabetes. ”NMRK is like the roar of a lion. What sickness can therefore be an obstacle.” (Reply to Kyo'o p.412) Thank you,… Continue
