I have been recovering from Surgery

I am feeling better now. I had right knee replacement surgery on 4/03. And, Until 5/07 was pure hell.  The knee was healing nicely but, the medicines designated to curb the pain, caused me undue stress and side effects that was worse than the knee itself.  Massive itching all over me, then change of medicine  for another caused severe stomach pains like knives in my stomach. and every time I tried to connect to the surgeon to change my meds a new problem.

I thought I was destined to fail. This is the second knee replacement with a history of bone and joint surgeries. The good news is that I got a new medicine from my regular GPN that is actually a bandage. And it worked. I can sleep and the only side effect is sweating. And any woman with hot flashes are familiar with this. This I can deal with......Celebration.  I must get well and not lose my independence.   I still have a couple of foot surgeries to go yet..........Yea.

Thank you Chere......let's all chant for absolute victory and happiness. We are most fortunate we have the Gohonzon and therefore we can definitely change 'poison into medicine'. I realise recently (after going through some hardship myself) that there are many people out there who is suffering and helpless. So, this year, other than pledging to renew my faith in the Gohonzon, I really want reach out to other people and share with them our Nishiren Daishonin Buddhism. And I want to let them know that they too are empowered to change 'poison into medicine'.

Thank you Christina..  I have been chanting since February since 1968.  I have come a long way since then and changed a lot.....I mean human revolution.  And, t here was  a lot to change. The journey has been great and I wouldn't change anything, even though some problems were very hard and really tested my patience. I hope that your life is a success.

Chere, I am happy that you have strong faith and you remain cheerful and optimistic. It helps alot. Sensei once said, "....one who suffers the most has all the right to be the happiest." I look forward to your full recovery. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo : )

I have had a long slow healing of my body.  My knees was a complete success. A month afterward , while healing  my knees,My right eye became blind for 2 days, but, happily I got a great Eye surgeon who did a wonderful job. So , I can see and walk now. I am dealing with other problems now and not enough health insurance coverage.
I have spinal stenosis, and Two torn rotator cuff (1 in each shoulder) that are too old to repair, and something is wrong with my feet. But, my very good doctors says that I will be able to get the feet fixed when I am ready.  Meanwhile I chant and  smile and remember to not harbor grudges or complain to or about others. And, I am happier and able to walk my two little dogs up and down this steep hill that I live on. And, that makes me happy.   I can go to SGI meetings and go shopping and visit my friends. That Makes me happy.  My health reformation may take  me a while to change. But it is happening.  My Mom and Dad couldn't change their bad health. I have problems, but, I am  proof that we can be happy and  be a advocate for our bodies l

Well I went from that then 3 weeks later, my vision suddenly changed and I apparently was about to lost my vision very fast....and I went into emergency surgery to save my vision. It was a success.  This all despite the fact that I don't have good health insurance.  I chanted and chanted to win .  I have , although I still have bad health. I am still fighting and trying to win......
