Lundu-An insight into Sarawak....Situated on the South Western Coast of Sarawak is Lundu- a small up country town bordered by the various mountain peaks of Gunang Gading National Park.The strip of coastline from Lundu to Tanjung Datu.is probably the most beautiful in the whole of Sarawak. Lundu is also home to the Rafflesia, the World's Largest Flowe4.From Kuching, it takes two hours to reach Lundu.,has a population of about 30,000.The Bidayuh's form the Majority,while the rest are Malays,Ibans and Chinese. Over 80 % of the population are involved in Agriculture planting of Cocoa,pepper,rice,oil palm etc. Among the small community of the chinese residents in Lundu, there are about 30 members of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism .There is also a small number of members from among the indigenous population. They hold monthly discussion meetings and weekly chanting sessions ......
