The 90-Day All Japan, Motorcycle/Music Tour is coming to take me away!!

I haven't found a job yet, and my 5-year JET (Japan Exchange Teaching) contract ends today. But luckily I found out that I qualify for 90 days unemployment insurance and I found two new roommates to move into my house this next month.

On top of that I was chanting for someone to watch my cats, and on Tuesday I went to an interview for my current job, and there was a girl interviewing, who just arrived in Japan that day, with no where to stay and she agreed to stay at my house and watch my cats and my organic garden. She also said she did Tibetan Chants before, when I asked her if she didn't mind that I chant a lot at my house. And now she has chanted with me for the last two days (just a few minutes each day, but it's her first time and it's a great start).

So I feel I can survive for 90-days doing an All Japan Motorcycle Music Tour, playing in every city with my guitar and selling my CDs.

It's been my dream for the last 5 years and I planned on doing it each summer, but every summer I put it off until the next summer. But now I have to do it!!

I don't really want to teach anymore, so somehow within this 90 days, I have to figure out a way to become a full time musician and writer in Japan.

Here I go!!

Thank you guys. Hokkaido is possibly in the possibilities. Now I'm in Kashiwazaki where the Daishonin landed when being released from his Sado Exile.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will get you there. You have the compass of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo to see you over the sea-of-suffering. Dreams do come true, in sometimes, mysterious ways. Yep, you have a motorcycle, a guitar, and paved roads. Happy trails to you, Timothy! We'll see you on the other side for sure....

Go Tim Can't wait to hear of your adventures. Is Hokkaido on the agenda, I wonder. It's certainly much more comfortable in the summer months. I remember my feelings watching the waves crash into the rocks at Atsuta. Because Atsuta was the home of our former president and knowing he must have meditated on the same waves I felt very much in awe. The year was 1983.
