Sawadee na ka khun Paddy ka, I am not fluent. Although I am half Thai I have been in America for most of my life. I will be studying Thai when I get to Chiang Rai. We will arrive the first week of October :) when I get set up I will send you our mobile.
Paddy we are moving to Chiang Rai, I will be working between Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai, I would love it if you had connections for my husband and I with members, and to also meet with you!! NMRK I will be working as Chief Development Officer for a Thai Non-Profit!
English is my first language, but I can now speak read and write Thai fairly fluently thanks to taking part in local activities. I have some books of guidance and, of course, the WND. Other than that I get most of my material and news from the internet ^_^
Yeap, Strawberry is indeed my chuu-len ^_^
I'm not sure where ChiangDao is but I do know there's now a kaikan in Lampang.
When I was living in Chiangmai a long while back, I met Khun Virapan. He was the leader in our area. He started chanting in the UK, so was really helpful with english language materials, guidance and stuff. Have you ever met him? He's still there.
