I'm a single mom to Alexander who graduated HS this year. I was born into the religion just as my son was. My mother was one of the Japanese pioneer members. I enjoyed my years as a Junior Pioneer (a form of Boys and Girls group in Japan in the 60s), Kotekitai, Drill Team, and finally into the Womens Division.
I'm a graphic designer, illustrator and a crafter and launched xangetsu studio in 2003. I do little creations of kokeshi-inspired dolls and cat illustrations and sell them through my online shops and at craft shows.

Greetings from So. California______Wow third generation member ( Would your mom be read about in the New Human Revolution perhaps. What a fortunate family you have. Thanx for all your dedications as a YWD. I myself was in the LA Brass Band for about 5 years. We had practice every Thursday and All day Sunday. We all did Gongyo at the old World Culture Center located right on the Santa Monica beach. This would have been in the years 73-78. I think I may have missed one practice. You did'tn't miss Band Practice(LOL). Perhaps the same with the Kotekitai??
Welcome aboard, Barbara. Yes, please add more info about yourself. WE have questions that we post on the Main page that we request of new folks like you who join us. Are you an SGI member, how did you hear about us, etc. Lovely dolls on that personal website. Are they yours?
