Life in the rain

Posted on June 6, 2010 at 4:06pm 2 Comments

I am currently living in Porland, Oregon.. someone asked me, "how can you stand the rain? It is so depressing". My response:

If I were in Phoenix, I would be complaining about the heat, if I were in Texas, I would complain about the humidity, If I were in California or Hawaii, I would complain about the crowds...

People are never really satisfied with where they are at. I LOVE the rain.. it is refreshing.. I love the heat, it burns my negativity right out of my cells. I… Continue

Enlightenment

As beautiful as the world is, it came to me... I am enlightened..

I was listening to 2 of my favorite songs; one by Brother Izzy and the other by a group called Malantial. Very native and very spiritual, to me. It was then that I saw or percieved my interpretation of true enlightenment.

We are born into this life, pure of thoughts.. we have no concept of wrong or right, yes or no or even can't and can.. we depend on others for our daily substances... we begin to build…

My life

Posted on December 29, 2009 at 4:07pm 1 Comment

I have traveled the country wide for many years. As a peasant, searching for my inner being. As a healer, helping others find their inner strengths.. Living, to the best of my ability, as a Buddha would. Ah, todays times have changed... interconnectivity through techtronics... widening the circle of change, yet adding centricity.. New laws are made, man laws; and yet there is only one...

My challenges have been many, mostly challenging that darkness within me.. Life, I have learned,… Continue

Thanks for your comment Kanani. You're fortunate to have a sponsor that is supportive of your Buddhist practice. I've gotten the impression that my husband's AA sponser just tolerates his Buddhist practice. He's able to work with him, but I wish his sponsor was more open minded and accepting of Buddhism.

Greetings! TODAY WAS A GREAT DAY!!!!! I got cussed out by a "born-again Christian!" I told him thank you, you just further solidified my Buddhist practice, because I don't want to be like you! This was at 7am this morning. I then went and took a shower, did morning gongyo and 1 hour daimoku, AND HAD A GREAT DAY! My disability claim with the VA must be forthcoming soon, didn't Nichiren and Sensei say something about the darkest time always leads to the shining light (or words to that effect!) I will keep chanting daimoku, I know you will too, and I'll see you soon!!!! DAIMOKU!!!
